About Your Character
Name:Elizabeth 'Liz' Raine
Age: 17
Date of Birth: April 29
History:I hope it's okay that I wrote it in first person...when I wrote it I had a really bad desire to write in first person
I'm Liz, but you probobly know that. I stand out in a crowd. I don't know who you are, but if you don't wnat to tell me that is okay. I just wanted to tell you a little bit about me. You can judy me. Think whay you will, I don't care. Just please let me finish first. I don't care what you think about me, I won't care if you talk behind my back. Just atleast listen to what I have to say first.
I am fifteen years old. I am an only child. I've always wished that I had a sister, someone to talk to. Someone I could trust to always be there for me. But I don't. It's just me and my dad. And of course all those animals I have around my house. I should probobly start from the top. My dad is a vet, so we usually have dozens of animals running aroung our house. Of course there not permenent residents. The only one who isn't going anywhere is Hershey. She's my dog. She isn't a very big dog, but I love her.
Hershey is a sister to me. She is always there for me and is just the perfect dog. She is ver adaptable. If I want to play she has an endless amount of energy. But if I had a bad day and just want to sit she will sit in my lap. I can always count on her to care. Everyday when I open the door she jumps up and greets me. I don't know what I'd do without her.
The one thing my house is lacking is a barn. I have to go elswhere to ride. But now I geuss I will tell you about my past. My mother left when I was eight. I don't know where she is. My dad might know but he refuses to tell me anything. I don't know if I'll ever see her again.
After that I began to change. I stopped caring what people thought about me. I was just myself. I started spending more and more time in the stable. It was a blast. But my dad decided I should go away for a while. To try and get it off my mind. So, that is how I ended up here.
Appearance:At What really annoys Liz is her height. She is slightly to tall to be a jockey, though she is not incredibly tall either. Of course, she actually is on the tall side. Proportionately perfect for the not so gentle giant. Still, a jockey career might be ahead of her, but the problem with flat racing was that her precious boy was already four. You only get one little devil that can whip around a track that fast a life time. But, this isn’t to describe him. So I’ll have to get back to that.
Liz has long black hair that she is usually not bothered with. Incidently it is usually just hanign down or up in a ponytail. Though she can actually be quite pretty when she wants to be, the only time she ever puts effort into her appearance is before a show. Then she makes sure that she looks just about perfect. But she is doing it for her mount. She wants to prove to the world just how great he is. And she is determined not to let him down.
Liz is almost always seen is jeans. She doesn't dress to impress but to be origanal. She can be seen in some of the most strange attire. She likes to be different. She often has colored streaks in her hair. The color doesn't stay the same for long. It would get too boring.
Personality: Liz is out there and crazy. She lives in the spur of the moment and is always up for a ride. She loves to hang with her friends and do what ever. One of her favorite things other then riding is bowling, and she is actually quite good at it as well. Though most other sports aren’t her thing she is more then happy to goof off and have a good time on any field ou court. She is the athletic type and happy about it. If she isn’t wearing riding boots then she is wearing sneakers.
Determination in solid form. Yup, that’s Liz. She is determined. No other trait could have won over the tremendous stallion that she calls her own. She is determined to bring Gladiator to the top and she will do so. If she doesn’t then she will due trying. She is tired of people talking about the stallion in such a nagotive tone. She wants to put a stop to it. And she wants to do it for him as well.
Liz is a a loyal friends. She will stand up for a friend no matter who it is against. She is out going and is ready to make a friend no matter when or where. She has some spunk and just wants to have fun. You only have one life…..LIVE IT!!!
Name:Gladiator
Gender:Stallion
Breed:not quite sure at this point
Dicipline(s):He can do most diciplines.....
Age: Four
Color: Bay
Personality: Ah, in interesting question. But I am afraid I can’t tell you. He is concealed even I don’t know of it. Know nothing, do nothing. Say nothing. Avoid him entirely. I can tell you that he is withdrawn, and evil. He likes to keep contact to a minimum. Okay, so he has slackened off that. He is no longer evil. But in the paddock he will try to avoid pther horses. But he is getting better. True, he will never be kind, but he will tolerate others now. It is getting better.
History:
Born? Where was he born? Intreresting question. Half way between captivity and freedom. His body was born into a stall, buit his heart into the wild. He wanted nothing more then to escape. But it was soon found out he wanted nothing more. It became impossible for him to escape. He was trapped. Trapped in a world he hated.
This is probably why he hated everyone so. He hated indoors, he hated being provided for. He wanted to run free. But eventually he gave up/ He withdrew. Nothing was dear to him. He realized that there were many things worth fighting for, freedom was not one of them.
There was still the problem of training the brute. He was a wild one. Though he had given up on escaping he wasn’t going to let anyone on his back. People were giving up. Nobody would ride him anymore. Nobody wanted to get thrown off. So, it seemed Gladiator would b left to go even wilder in his stall. He earned his name then, he had been known as Trumpet before.
Ah, the pleasure got landed on Liz, yes poor old Liz. Well, you wouldn’t know who Liz was do you? Well, Liz was a rider. She had been riding for years. She was seventeen. She started riding at age seven and she was quite good. The problem was she had moved. Well, the first thing on her list was to find a new place to ride.
Liz arrived at the stable ready to ride. She learned she was riding Gladiator. Not knowing who he was she didn’t care. She just thought that was an interesting name for a horse. She looked at him, he was a beauty. Dark bay. Boy was she surprised when she threw her legs over the saddle.
She was hardly seated when he took off. He started galloping around the ring. Yes, Liz was surprised. But it took more then that to get her off. A couple of bucks didn’t do it either. Now, Gladiator was really starting to get annoyed. He reared up thrashing his legs around. But this was all the way up. He quickly touched back down and threw his hind legs up into the air. This was to much for Liz, she flew off his back.
But Liz, she was a determined person. She would not give up. She insisted on getting back on. Gladiator had completely worn himself out with the rodeo was forced to do what she told him to. Yes, he had the energy left to do a normal lesson, but not enough to try throwing her off. Yes, he could buck a few times, but he had already learned that wasn’t goin to cut it with her.
Liz came back and rode Gladiatory daily. She refused to ride anyone else. She would just say she liked a challenge. Sometimes she got thrown off, sometimes not. But as time went on Gladiator began to deal with her. His attempts at removing her grew less and less. Untill it was just a single joking buck everytime she got on. Yes, everytime he would buck, still does. But it wasn’t anything big.
Gladiator and Liz made a great team. They worked well at all disciplines. He was no thoroughbred but was pretty fast on the track. They jumped amazingly as a team. They were a great pair. The two of them are still working on dressage though, Gladiator isn’t great at that kind of thing.
